At DME, we are aware that the importance of a head start in careers cannot be overlooked. Our Training & Placement Cell works towards increasing the employability of the students and consequently providing them ideal platforms. We are constantly involved in creating excellent tie ups with prospective employers. We build relationships with them by initially sending them our students for internships. For a young institution, we have a stellar placement record. Among those who have taken on our students are:

CAMPUS DRIVE: DME LAW SCHOOL PLACEMENT DRIVE 2020

TILA conducted Interviews of 17 students for the post of Associate in DME campus on January 24th, 2020. Mr. Raj Singh Niranjan was present for the same. It comprised of a series of rounds from Written test to Interview. Students were quite enthusiastic about the same.

A Webinar/lecture series as a part of the Placement Cell Activity was organized by the TPO – DME Law School on 11th September, 2020 at 03.00 p.m. in which B.Lakshmi Narasimhan, Principal Partner Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan  Attorneys. Mr. B.Lakshmi Narasimhan has around 20 years of experience in handling disputes before various judicial fora. He spoke about Constitutional Framework and Challenges Under GST.

B. Lakshmi Narasimhan has around 20 years of experience in handling disputes before various judicial fora. A notable feature of Narasimhan’s practice is the variety of matters handled by him at different forums, ranging from tax disputes to constitutional challenges. Litigation management is his core competency. He has argued most complicated and maximum number of matters before the Customs Tribunal on wide ranging issues relating to classification, valuation, taxability, credit availability etc.

Over the years, he has appeared in several matters involving extremely high-stakes and/or wide ramifications across the country. His role encompasses advising clients on important issues to prevent any enforcement actions by the authorities. He is the preferred choice for clients while seeking advice on dispute management, potential or ongoing and also for arguing the matters before the Courts and Tribunals. Narasimhan regularly delivers lectures in various industrial bodies and institutions.

With these words in mind, Delhi Metropolitan Education organizes web lecture series that called Learn from the Leaders and drill down into the Constitutional Framework & Challenges Under GST with our distinguished Guest of Honor, Mr. B. Lakshmi Narasimhan through live presentation made it successful where participants joined the webinar to hear and ask question and an interactive session was held on 11,September, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. The aim of the webinar was to educate students and share all the latest updates in detail where our hon’ble guest B. Lakshmi Narasimhan interacted with students and discuss  numerous changes that the GSTN Network. This lecture helped developing the thoughts are enhanced practical aspects of life also created an insightful journey all along and all students must have gathered immense knowledge upon the Constitutional Framework & Challenges Under Goods and Services Tax.

DME Law School, aims at holistic development of its students and this process culminates in securing the best job opportunities for the students. In pursuance of this mission DME organized the Placement week during March 25-29, 2019.

The Placement activities for the DME Law School have been gearing up with various organizations visiting the campus for placements in different fields of legal profession such as TCI Express, Aptara, APN News Channel and Gaggar & Partners, RRA Tax India and Legistify.

The placement activity of the DME Law School has resulted in student recruitment in some of the best names in the field with roles pertaining to Litigation, Research Analyst, Corporate Legal Advisors, legal associate etc.

APN News channel interviewed 22 candidates out of total 38 interested candidates and the multistage process is expected to finish soon,14 candidates appeared at the APTARA corporate office out of which two candidates, Shravan Chandrashekhar and Malvika Advani, were offered the position of legal associate and the students joined in the month of May, 16 candidates were shortlistd for TCI Express, after a rigorous multi stage process and out of these, four students , Satyam Roy, Sagar Kaushik, Vishal Gupta and Siddharth Verma, were selected on board.

Two students, Vinita Joshi and Pulkit Advani have been selected by the prestigious RRA TaxIndia, a tax litigation firm and are expected to join in June. The approximate CTC generated through these organizations has been around 3 to 3.5 lac p.a., which is appreciable for a fresher in the legal field.

Placement is an ongoing process and many more prestigious firms are lined up in the coming months.

We have a fully functional training and placement cell, comprising dedicated faculty members and external experts which not only focus on the customized preparation as per the requirement of the firm but also trains the students through workshops and class based activities, to equip them with the skill set required to sustain in the competitive field. The multitude of the placement activity is expected to grow in the coming months with efforts also being made at providing students with active and valuable internships by the Training & Placement Cell at DME.

The Annual placement has been organized for the final year students of BA LLB of DME, Law School on 3rd May, 2018. We are privileged that a team from APN News channel, Noida was present in our campus for the recruitment of our final year law students. APN News is today the most watched and most credible, respected news channel in India. APN has been at the forefront of every single news revolution. The channel is being recognized for its in- depth, analytical reportage and hard hitting discussions on burning issues; without any bias or vested interests. Around 50 students participated in the placement drive. The event was held successfully with the efforts of Justice Bhanwar Singh, Dr. N.K. Behl, Dr. Bhavish Gupta and convener of placement cell, Parul Gurudev.
